Poetry for Christmas

I've been holding off buying any poetry for a while, mainly because I'm still working my way through a backlog of books. At some stage in the next couple of weeks I'll post something about the books I have read this year, but what about those I ought to be reading?

I'd be interested to hear any recommendations of poetry volumes to look out for – I've already got a couple in mind, but fire away...

To start the ball rolling, here are 3 books I've not read, but I've told people to get as Xmas presents for me - "Much Possessed" John Foggins (The Poetry Business), "Broken Cities" Katy Evans-Bush (The Poetry Business), "The Great Vowel Shift", Robin Houghton (Telltale Press).

Thanks Tim - I'll take a look at all of those.

I'm sure you'll already know them, but collections I've been particularly moved by this year are Hannah Lowe's 'Chick' and Michel Faber's 'Undying'. Not new, but great discoveries for me.

Thanks very much, Sue - not read either of them, but have heard good things about the Hannah Lowe book especially.
