There's an
interesting review here of August Kleinzahler's Sleeping It Off In Rapid City: Poems New And Selected, which I mentioned a few weeks back. I think I largely agree with it - Kleinzahler is a poet whose work I often like a lot, but it's usually when he's a bit more empathetic. At other times, he can teeter on the edge of becoming a parody of himself, and it all gets a bit predictable and wearing. Still, either way, it looks like a book worth having.
